Item Description
8.75x11” thin artboard with stylized caricature portrait of Jack Palance reminiscent of Al Hirschfeld. Signed at lower left “Cristiano.” Back has Cristiano’s New York address ink stamp along with inked name noting it is of Jack Palance. Cristiano is a noted caricature artist and member of ISCA (International Society of Caricature Artists). He recently passed away 6/8/2010. This piece dates to the early 1960s and comes from the Warren Publishing Co. archives, who he did work for. This included a 1-page “Gallery Of Monsters” feature in the March 1962 issue #16 of Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine. Sheet has lightest aging but art remains Exc.
