Item Description
First is 6" ribbon with brass bar pin at top. This was issued by the "Ohio Society Of California" for the "Launching Of The Battleship 'Ohio' at San Francisco, Cal., May 18, 1901." Ribbon has slight dust soil but no obvious stain marks on the front. Second item has pin but no bar through upper edge of 1.5" ribbon showing some age. This joins to a bronze colored keystone shaped suspension with image of ship and name on front "U.S.S Pennsylvania." Reverse text "Launch Of The Armored Cruiser Pennsylvania/Kramps Shipyard/Aug. 22, 1903." The metal piece is Mint. See additional early military ship launch buttons #675. Both of these are rare single day pieces from the Sen. Charles Dick Collection.
