8x10" thin board w/fully painted art which is signed at lower right "Jorge S." Nice image of him in his Cienfuegos Elephants uniform as he stands on the mound having just thrown a pitch. Detailing the bkg. are teammates and a scoreboard. Top left has title w/his name and "Pitcher". Elephants pennant is below this. Joe also played in the Negro Leagues for the Baltimore Elite Giants and in the Major Leagues for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Cincinnati Reds and Washington Senators. He was the NL Rookie of the Year in 1952. Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
