Item Description
13x19-5/8" thin DC Comics artboard has original pen and ink art for page 23 of Aug. 1988 issue of "Batman: The Cult." Page features 11 panels, Batman featured in six panels, including being shot and falling, his assailant standing over him w/gun drawn until mysterious shadow throws knife into assailant's back. Art was for "Book One: Ordeal" storyline written by Jim Starlin w/art/inks by legendary comic/horror artist Berni Wrightson. Abbreviated handwritten title at top along w/handwritten issue/page number in black felt tip pen. Wrightson has signed his name in black ink at bottom left. Artboard has aging to top margin and some handling wear/warping along top, but art remains Exc. Artboard is VF overall, but would frame for wonderful display.
