Item Description
8x10" thin board w/fully painted art which is signed at lower right "Jorge S." Nice image of him wearing his Almendares Scorpions uniform and warming up in the bull pen. Catcher is behind him, a few fans gather to watch and on wall in the bkg. is a "Buick" sign. Top right has title w/his name and "Pitcher." Scorpions pennant below this. His accomplishments in the Major Leagues includes World Series champion, NL Rookie of the Year, NL MVP and Cy Young Award winner. He was the first black pitcher to start a World Series game and the first to win 20 games in one season. Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
