14-1/8x18-1/8" artboard has original watercolor specialty art showing full body image of Superman flying, seen in three-quarter view. Art was created by modern comic master painter Alex Ross, whose numerous awards include a 1997 Will Eisner Award and two nominations for "Kingdom Come" and a 1998 National Cartoonists Society Comic Book Award for "Superman: Peace On Earth." Art's bkg. brings to mind the icy walls of Superman's Fortress of Solitude in the Arctic. Ross has signed his name in light blue, deftly incorporating it into the icy look of the bkg. Upper left and lower right corner have some trace dust soiling but art area remains clean and Exc. Would frame for an impressive display, one certain to become a centerpiece of any Superman collection. An absolutely stunning piece by one of the most well-known and popular comic book artists today.
