Rick Synchef started accumulating counter culture material while studying Political Science at the University of Wisconsin in the late 1960s. His interest remained steady as he navigated law school at Northwestern and by the late 1980s Synchef had transitioned from accumulator to serious collector. His vast collection includes artifacts from American political campaigns, the anti-Vietnam war movement, the San Francisco hippie culture and the civil rights movement.
