Item Description
Each is a 13/16” litho from the late 1940s. We know of at least 12 different. Group begins with “Super Shmoo!!” showing a Shmoo in a Superman outfit bursting through a window. On the left bottom of the red cape our photo shows a white mark. This was paper on the button surface and the white portion is gone although a small transparent layer of something remains in place so this area has a little darker color than the rest of the red but not the white color shown in the photo. For practical purposes the button still displays essentially Mint as do all the others although with just a pinpoint or two of paint wear on the closest inspection. Captions on the others are: "Calling Dr. Shmoo, Captain Kidd Shmoo, Cookie Shmoo, Cutie Shmoo, Lefty O’Shmool, Sailor Shmoo, Shmoosic In The Air, Suzie Shmoo, Sweet Shmoo, Tumbling Tumbleshmoos." The last time we offered these was back in Auction #194 in 2008. That group of 12 realized over $600. Scarce.
