Item Description
10.75x19" die-cut countertop standee display w/easel back features image of voluptuous, topless woman holding The Rolling Stones' 1978 album "Some Girls." An elaborate design, it featured The Rolling Stones and select female celebrities in garish drag as well as lingerie ads. Cover immediately ran into trouble when Lucille Ball, Farrah Fawcett, Raquel Welch and the estates of Judy Garland and Marilyn Monroe threatened legal action. It was withdrawn and the offending pictures removed, replaced w/final album version which had die-cut holes and The Rolling Stone faces covering womens' faces. This display was also issued as a 52" tall floor standee. Scattered lt. edge/corner tip wear w/some moisture staining along bottom, most noticeable at base of easel back. Still displays Fine. One of the nicest Rolling Stones store displays right down to their trademark tongue logo on woman's panties. Rare.
