Item Description
26.25x31.25" frame w/Plexiglas over archival mat reveals 16.25x20" mixed media image titled "Jack Davis - 'High-Tech Fishing Heresy'" on engraved brass title plate on mat underneath art. Publication this art was done for is unknown, but c. 1980s. Great scene shows elderly fisherman and his dog getting startled and almost swampted in their wooden rowboat as powerboat swerves around them, nearly tipping rowboat. Powerboat is piloted by fisherman w/CB mic in hand wearing "Lectric Rod Club" hat. Boat is decked to the hilt w/the latest in fishing technology, so much that it looks ludicrous. Art has been signed in ink by Davis at lower right and comes w/4x6" color photo of the artist in his studio holding this original. Unused areas of artboard features some editorial pencil marks and handwritten "Fishing Heresy - April" text w/some numbers. Scattered aging at bottom left from tape residue. Fine/VF overall, but main image area is bright and Exc. Framed and ready for display.
