Item Description
7/8" with Bastian paper. One of only four examples we've seen of this button promoting a series of two-reelers released by Universal 1925-1929. Pictured are Arthur Trimble as Buster and Doreen Turner as Mary Jane. Also shown is their dog Tige who then went on to star as the first dog Petey in the Our Gang series. Button has three tiny hairlines and dot indent above the dog's head and with one crossing Buster's hat and another around the dog's shoulder area. While these catch reflected light, they are quite tiny and with most viewing angles are not seen. The button has perfect centering and exceptionally high gloss. A rare button and notable for being a very early movie related club button appealing to children.
