Item Description
22x28-3/8" half-sheet poster for the 1949 re-release of the 1942 RKO Radio film that starred Gary Cooper, Teresa Wright, Walter Brennan and Babe Ruth. This poster is one of the few instances when a re-release poster is of more value and ranks higher w/collectors than the initial run poster. Poster was originally released in two-toned red/black colors in 1942, all posters omitting Babe Ruth image at lower right-hand corner. This re-release poster re-presents Cooper and Wright images in glorious color w/Ruth as an excellent addition. Originally folded into quarters, poster has had professional restoration along fold lines and at fold crease intersection. All of this blends and is only noticeable upon close inspection. Poster has also been professionally backed and displays Exc.
