Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid label contains 6.25" tall celluloid head/body w/painted tin legs/boot tops and wind-up motor inside body. Made in Occupied Japan by Nakamura, 1948. Box is complete w/cardboard insert and shows even aging w/some scattered wear/dust soiling. Tape repair to lid edge split. Fine overall. Label is VF. Toy comes w/original key and works well, causing cast metal feet to move in walking motion. Scattered aging to legs, including thumbprint in paint. Tiny dent to tip of nose, o/w celluloid remains free of any cracks/dent. VF overall. Rare toy w/even rarer box.
