Item Description
UPDATE TO THE DESCRIPTION: THERE ARE TWO COPIES OF THIS COMIC BOOK IN THE CGC CENSUS THAT ARE GRADED 9.4, NOT ONE AS ORIGINALLY STATED.

DC Comics. First adventure for the Justice Society of America. Gardner Fox story. E.E. Hibbard cover. Sheldon Moldoff, Bernard Bailey, Creig Flessel and Martin Nodell art. Off-white to white pages. None higher in CGC Census. Off the market since it was purchased in 1980, this is the first time it has ever come to auction. Not only the highest graded example in the CGC Census, but just one of two examples in this superior grade. Historic issue w/an amazing cover featuring The Spectre, Flash, Hourman, The Atom, Hawkman, Green Lantern and Doctor Fate w/the US Capitol Building in the bkg. Investment grade and a must-have for the serious Golden Age collector. From the collection of Lamont Larson, one of the earliest and most prodigious of the pedigrees. The books within the collection represent the rarest part of the Golden Age, w/many books being the best examples in existence.
