Item Description
Full set of six 2.5x3" books (each w/attractive gold foil covers and 200 pages) published by Whitman in 1935. Titles include - "The Golden Hours Story Book, The Cozy Hours Story Book, The Gay Book Of Little Stories, The Glad Book Of Little Stories, The Joy Book Of Little Stories" and "The Sunny Book Of Little Stories." These books are even smaller than BLBs. Cozy book has sample label inside front cover noting price. Covers show some lt. scattered wear in the form of color rubs and lt. corner tip wear, but books have never been fully opened. Covers are Fine overall w/NM contents. Unlike BLBs, these books did not sell well, resulting in single books being scarce while a complete set is rare. Rogers M. Fred, Jr. BLB & Related Collection.
