Item Description
Large 10x10x4" deep empty box originally contained 480 1¢ pieces of gum by Chix Confectionery Co. Ltd. of England. From 1959, the same year Chix also produced a Popeye gum card set. Box has vibrant design w/Popeye portrait on top, all sides (of both the lift off lid and box bottom) show him w/Olive Oyl, Swee'Pea and Wimpy. Box has text in English and French. Additional sticker on lid notes "Free Deal 130 Pieces Of Popeye Bubble Gum." Front side and underside panels have large inked number. Lt. edge wear but but remains bright and tight. VF.
