Item Description

One of the many aviation characters, all largely inspired by Charles Lindbergh's 1927 historic flight, Howie Wing was a Kellogg's sponsored radio show written by Captain Wilfred Gibbs Moore, also the co-author of The Air Adventures of Jimmie Allen. Ring is late 1930s in brass with adjustable bands. Top has replaced blue paper nearly identical to a piece of litmus paper once there that changed from blue to pink depending on humidity. Ring sides have pair of large star designs, Bottom of one prong has 1/8" hairline indent line. Vast majority of brilliant luster remains. Scarce and Exc.
