Item Description
Interesting spiral-bound pair, both from 1946. 16.5x25.75" from Thompson Products features illustrations by noted aircraft artist Charles H. Hubbell of famous Axis planes by companies such as Messerschmitt, Junkers, Mitsubishi, Kawasaki and others. Cover notes "Here, For The Record, Are The Best Planes The Enemy Sent Into The Air. Their Fortunes Rode High Until Democracy Unleashed Its Full Might And Swept Them From The Skies." Thin textured onionskin paper cover is aged but shows lust lt. wear. Fine/VF w/Exc. contents. 15.25x18.25" folder contains calendar from Pratt & Whitney features famous Allied planes that had engines furnished by Pratt & Whitney. These include - Grumman Hellcat, Republic Thunderbolt, Northrop Black Widow, Vought Corsair, etc. Cover has some scattered aging but is Fine/VF overall w/Exc. contents. Both are printed on heavy stock and oversized w/intentions of being suitable for framing after use as calendar.
