Item Description
High quality 6.5x.5x6.25" tall (9" tall to top of raised handle) case w/metal latch front contains 8" tall miniature trash can constructed out of plastic and aluminum. Salesman's sample features great futuristic design and dates to 1963. Four sides were designed to each hold a advertising panel, though sample does not feature or come w/any. Sample is NM. Velvet-lined padded case is Exc. Comes w/four 8.5x11" sheets, including letter to Container Advertising Company from the city council of Boulder City, NV concerning proposal to install their "All-Aluminum Litter Containers." Other sheets include newspaper photocopies w/photo images of these trash cans. Lot also includes envelope and typed letter from Container Advertising Co. concerning the trash can proposal. Album page w/three vintage 3.5x3.5" photos shows three different views of thrash cans at shopping center, each showcasing different advertising panels. Exc. Very neat design and a great item for sample collectors.
