Item Description
10.75x15.25" newspaper clipping from 1939 has eight-panel, full color "Valric Of The Vikings" comic strip as well as advertisement for Kellogg's "All-Rye Flakes" at bottom right w/picture of "Valric Of The Vikings" premium "Viking Magnifying Ring." Ad notes magnifying lens is "So Powerful It Can Burn A Hole In Paper Using The Sun's Rays!" Premium was obtained by sending Kellogg's box top and 10¢ along w/coupon. Clipping is evenly aged w/vertical fold at center and slightly uneven left edge as removed from newspaper, but is o/w VF. A desirable ad for one of the rarest premium rings, of which there are only a few known examples. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
