Item Description
3.5x5.5" vintage matte postcard depicting 14 ballplayers along with the team's manager, J. Morgan. Photography credit appears below the player composite images and reads "H.C. Weasner, Photo'gr Buffalo, NY". All players are identified by last name below their portraits. The 1907 Montreal Royals club was a member of the Class A Eastern League, finishing with a record of 46-85 but producing a total of 10 individuals who would go on to play Major League Baseball. Here is a list of their alumni: Lew Brockett, Tommy Clarke, Joe Connor, Tom Hughes, Bobby Keefe, Malachi Kittridge, Red Morgan, Doc Newton, Dave Shean and Buck Stanley. Clarity of the image is excellent with minor corner wear evident. Divided back has been postally used with a date stamp of September 10, 1907. VF/Exc.
