Item Description
17.5x22-5/8" first printing poster for Aug. 1, 1969 concert at the Santa Barbara Fairgrounds Arena. This is an original printing poster as evidenced by the printer register marks at top/bottom margins and bottom margin "Pacific Printing" credit. Art by Frank Bettencourt features psychedelic design showing burning zeppelin in front of sun as well as a dragon-like creature crawling out from under misspelled "Led Zepplin" name. Additional imagery depicts robed, bearded man standing by stone building. The burning zeppelin is an obvious reference to Led Zeppelin's debut self-titled album which was released the same year as this concert. Poster has some lt. scattered handling wear w/3/8" and .5" tears at upper left margin and smaller 1/8" tear at lower left. Still displays VF overall.
