Item Description
3-3/8x5-3/8" vintage matte postcard depicting a Cuban baseball player during mid-swing in front of a wooden fence with many adoring fans looking on. Caption in lower left-hand corner reads "Primer Home Run-Temporada 1928-S.T.C. C'tral Senado, Cuba". We have been unable to positively identify the individual pictured but would make an interesting research project, given that he was recognized as some sort of Cuban home run champ for 1928. Scattered surface paper wear visible on front, divided back remains blank and unused with a bit of foxing around the edges. Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
