Item Description
7.75x23.75" frame contains Craftint artboard that has been matted to 6x19.5" and features three panel original art for strip No. 4075 from Jan. 11, 1952. First panel has NPP copyright strip (w/date altered by hand). Art by Win Mortimer (1919-1998), a Canadian comic book and comic strip artist best known as one of the major illustrators of the Golden Age Superman. Story shows Superman at awards ceremony, excusing himself to return home to Lois Lane and their anniversary dinner before he is interrupted by news of a flood putting two towns in imminent danger. Superman appears in all three panels. Art displays Exc. as framed. David Barsalou Collection.
