8.75x11.75" program w/48 pages for the 1955 World Series, which saw NL champions Brooklyn Dodgers go up against the AL champion New York Yankees, w/the Dodgers winning the World Series in 7 games to capture their first championship in franchise history. It would be the only Series the Dodgers won while based in Brooklyn and was the fifth time in nine years that the Yankees and the Dodgers met in the World Series. Cover features both teams' logos as well as portraits of managers Walter Alston and Casey Stengel. Program features typical content, including coverage on both teams and their players. Program has been scored in pencil on several pages (w/line impressions and transfer on adjoining pages), vertical crease at center and shows scattered handling wear. Pinch creases to spine. Fine overall.
