Item Description
Warner Bros. introduced a series of sequential hand-painted limited edition cels featuring the work of Warner Bros. cartoonist Virgil Ross (1907-1996) to their Masters Collection in 1992. All were created from original Virgil Ross drawings, such as the one offered here. 20.5x40.5" frame contains oversized pan cel on a printed bkg. and is titled "Gunslingers." Based on a scene from the 1948 Friz Freleng animated short Bugs Bunny Rides Again, it features three images of Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam in Western attire, advancing on one another for a gun duel. Cel has been hand-signed and numbered "160/500" by Ross and bears Warner Bros. seal. Studio COA w/matching edition number affixed to back. Frame is worn and just comes along, but cel displays NM.
