Gilbert Ray Hodges  was an American first baseman and manager in Major League Baseball (MLB) who played most of his 18-year career for the Brooklyn / Los Angeles Dodgers. He was widely regarded as the major leagues' outstanding first baseman in the 1950s. Some career highlights include being an eight time All-Star, hitting four homer runs in one game in 1950, a three time Gold Glove award winner and a three time World Series Champion. Gil Hodges was elected to the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 2022.
