Item Description
8.25x10.5" full sheet of 25 numbered, unused stamps issued to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the "birth" of baseball. Produced by Emery A. Parichy, who in 1934 started his own baseball museum in Illinois. An album to house the stamps was also produced. Featuring both illustrations and photos, stamps include historic baseball events, pioneers and players. HOF member stamps are: Bulkeley, Ban Johnson, Grover Alexander, Cobb, Eddie Collins, Keeler, Walter Johnson, Lajoie, Mathewson, Ruth, Sisler, Speaker, Wagner and Cy Young. Stamp #1 is Abner Doubleday. Slightest handlng wear but clean, unused and NM overall. Bold and vibarant color. Rare as an uncut sheet.
