Item Description
40x60" poster for 1936 Mickey Mouse birthday celebration. American Display Co. Inc. of New York City. Poster has great graphics of Mickey Mouse carrying birthday cake with note attached reading "Sept. 25th to Oct. 1st" in 1 hand and knife in the other. In the early 1930s, many movie theaters would have birthday celebrations for Mickey Mouse, a week each year, during which time they would show Mickey Mouse cartoons. Each year, a different poster was provided. Poster has had no restoration and is in Exc. original condition. This is the only known copy of this poster and is also believed to be the only 1930s Mickey Mouse birthday poster to have survived. Extremely rare and desirable due to its beautiful graphics.
