Auction #199 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 972 in auction 199
Item Description
1-7/16” apparently picturing Lawrence Carmel who played minor league baseball in Canada from 1922 to 1924. The construction of the button fits this time period. Surface has some very slight smooth denting and perimeter displays as just a hair less than a perfect circle as does the reverse collet. Extreme edge has a little slight toning at a few places and on extreme left edge there is a single 1/16” tiny cello cut although barely perceptible when the piece is viewed from the front. Fine and certainly rare. From the Richard Merkin Collection. Comes with Hake’s COA.
