Item Description
In 1950, our ’49 Ford took Dad, Mom and 7-yr. old me South (pre-interstate highway system!) out of York, Pa. some 1,000 miles to see the transplanted relatives in Tampa. We made a stop to see Weeki Wachee Springs. The image of young ladies floating in crystal clear waters, bubbles dancing to the surface, was instantly seared into my brain’s memory. I did not buy this kid’s size miniature 1.5” knife with a single blade but I might have – and probably hundreds did. One of two pearlized celluloid grips carries charming scene of 2 underwater ladies performing. Tiny text below specifies the name of the attraction. Light surface rust on one blade and the loop but the grips remain Exc.
