Item Description
1934. Issued by Cupples & Leon N.Y. 7.25x8.75x1-1/8” deep cardboard box has nice lid specialty art based on five books inside. Lid has dust soil and aging, one corner seam split neatly re-glued. Fine. Set of five soft cover books are each 6.75x8.5" with 32 bw pages of comic strip reprints issued in 1934. Titles and copyright dates are “Little Orphan Anne” 1926, “Reg’lar Fellers” 1928, “Smitty” 1928, “Harold Teen” 1931, and “How Dick Tracy And Dick Tracy Jr. Caught The Racketeers” 1933. These soft covers are abbreviated versions of the hard cover editions. Covers have trace of lt. aging. Smitty front cover and Reg’lar Fellers back cover are lightly tanned, likely caused by contact w/box. Overall all covers are Fine/VF, contents are VF/ Exc. A nice set with wonderful specialty cover art by creators.
