Item Description
Lot of eight, dating from the early 1900s to the 1930s. First is the wonderful and scarce mechanical boy eating Cracker Jack. 3.25" tall. Tab moves his mouth, ear and eye. Tiny 1/16" break at right end of the tab slot but does not effect functioning. Red color has almost totally faded so text on CJ box is illegible. Minor dust on blank reverse. Still decent overall coloration. Rare and only the third we've offered in our 47 years. Second is "The Cracker Jack Magnetic Fortune Teller." 2.5" original envelope w/directions holds translucent blue thin cellophane sheet w/Jack, dog, and early product box die-cut image in gold. Cellophane curls as warmed in hand to tell one's fortune as per the envelope descriptions of the curling action. NM. Rare and we've seen just a few in various colors in our 47 years. Third, "Uncle Sam's Famous National Songs" 2.5x3.5". ©1918. Small spine split, lt. dust soiling. Logo w/Jack, dog, box like previous item is on the back cover. VG Next are two different cardboard whistles, each 2-5/8" long. Exc. Next is folding 6" long ruler for both CJ and Angelus. NM. Next is "Angelus Recipes" 4x6" 16-page booklet from CJ w/ad on back cover. VF. Last, cut from a box, is very early 5.75" long "Cracker Jack Coupon" for getting premiums from their catalog of 200 "desirable articles." NM.
