Item Description
4x8" paper herald opens to 8x8" and is for original 1932 release of "Tarzan The Ape Man," the first Tarzan film (of 12) to star Johnny Weissmuller in the titular role w/Maureen O'Sullivan in her first turn as Jane. Loosely based on Edgar Rice Burroughs' novel "Tarzan Of The Apes," the film was directed by W.S. Van Dyke. It was remade in 1959 and in 1981 w/the same title but each was a different adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' novel. Herald front features art image of Tarzan holding Jane w/apes in bkg. Text at bottom translates to "From November 4 In Tivoli." Herald opens to feature several great photos from the film, including several of Tarzan and a few features animals. Back features additional photos from the film. Scattered lt. handling wear w/corner tip foxing. VF. Scarce.
