Item Description
Lot of three embroidered patches featuring Disney Studio-designed insignias during the 1940s and into the 1950s. First is 3.5x6" leaf-shaped patch featuring the Beechcraft Busy Bee, which was done c. 1942 for Beech Aircraft Corp. Features angry-looking bee who wears a shirt w/Beechcraft wings design and holds a wrench, hammer and rivet gun against airplane blueprint bkg. Scattered lt. aging but VF overall. Smaller 2.5" dia. "ADC" patch w/seal for Alaskan Defense Command. c. 1941-1943. Exc. 2.75x3.5" patch for the 213th EIS (Engineer Installation Squadron), whose mission was to maintain radios, central office and wire communications. Scattered aging and lt. wear. VF.
