Item Description
7/8" with W&H back paper. Curl has the text "©Edmonston ©International." Scroll designs on the front reads "For President Harding/For Vice President Coolidge." Button has some surface scratching limited to between the photos and on the top and left sides of the Coolidge photo. These vary between tiny 1/16" marks and one vertical on the left side of Coolidge's face 5/8" long. Most are seen only in reflected light but there are two tiny short marks between the photos each about 1/16" which are a little deeper plus a .25" scratch across Coolidge's forehead which is deeper than usual on the left but tapers to almost nothing at the far right. While the scratches are evident in reflected light in normal viewing in many light conditions they do not show at all and the button retains its high gloss. Centering is a mere 1/32" off center to the right. This design carries a Hake 2004 guide value of $2,200.00 and the item would display Mint under most viewing conditions in a collection but because of the damage we are opening it at less than 25% of the guide value. Don & Mildred Wright Collection.
