13x13x23" tall illustrated cardboard box contains hard plastic/vinyl 9.5" long hard scout car w/21" high base. Ideal. 1960s. Box has images of toy in operation on three sides plus detailed view of toy and all functions on back panel. Box has dust soiling, scattered creases and .5" hole along bottom edge. Scattered aging w/wear to top flaps from opening. Fine. Instruction sheet tanned w/age. Fine. Toy has many complex actions including the following - antenna under dome at very top revolves, space scene at top of base revolves, firing button produces loud noise and flashing red light on the screen. These work well. Remote control scout car w/firing missiles has plug to connect to main base. Complete w/clear dome, removable astronaut figure and two missiles. Although cord has never been unwrapped and plug fits snugly, car does not function. Still displays VF. The space lock and hoist do not work either. Base is VF/Exc. A nice example of this classic and complex space toy.
