Item Description
Lot of three artboards measuring between 10x15" and 15x20" w/original mixed media art depicting various ship models produced by Pyro Plastics during the 1950s and 1960s for catalog and/or promotional use. All art is unsigned. First depicts the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria at sea during Christopher Columbus's historic journey. Printing labels at center left/right margins. Exc. Second features six different ships from various different eras, including Fijian Outrigger, various sailships and a Venetian gondola. Pinholes along margins which have printing labels at centers. VF overall, but art displays Exc. Last artboard has detailed art of four different models - "Barbary Pirate, Mayflower, USS Constellation" and "Santa Maria" w/section at center appearing to have once had additional ship image taped on. This image is now missing, w/aged tape/tape staining. Artboard has some even aging and corner tip wear. VF.
