Item Description
Lot of three cardboard signs, each measuring about 11x14". First promotes 1936 Paramount movie "Rhythm On The Range" featuring Bing Crosby and Bob Burns of the Kraft radio program. Photo shows both stars. Foreground has image of jar of "Miracle Whip Salad Dressing" by radio sponsor Kraft. Scattered handling wear w/large but faint moisture stain along left. Fine. Second is cardboard bin display sign w/die-cut bottom margin for attaching to back of store bin. 1944. Used to advertise "Swan" soap, w/cartoon images of comedians Burns & Allen w/"CBS" radio microphone and swan. Swan sponsored Burns & Allen's radio show. Upper margin has some minor surface paper wear at extreme margin and lower white portion of sign has scattered aging. Three small 1/8" to .25" punctures at top. Fine. Last has large photo of Academy Award-nominated actress Barbara Stanwyck. Sign was issued for "Lux Radio Theatre 10th Anniversary - Oct. 16, 1944" and has blank for sale price of "Lux Toilet Soap." Word balloon from Stanwyck reads "Vote For The Play You'd Like Most To Hear...Take A Ballot!" and loose pad was once attached at bottom right, which now shows moderate wear. Scattered margin/corner tip wear. VG/Fine.
