"CENTENNIAL" EARLY LARGE STOP WATCH.
2" dia. thick silver luster watch case w/additional large winding stem and loop at the top has a clear thick glass cover over a porcelain dial inscribed "Centennial" along w/pair of hands and numeral designations apparently to count minutes and seconds. Pair of 1/16" porcelain chips are off very top edge of dial above numeral "60." Case front and back are extremely clean. Not working, winding knob simply spins. Case back opens and stamped on inner surface is Maltese cross w/inscription "C&B" and this is surrounded by panels which reads "1776 Centennial 1876 Trademark Registered." Below this is a serial number "2745." The internal watch mechanism is visible under a sheet of glass although this has a 1" hairline crack along the left edge. Watch is certainly 19th century but may have been produced in years following 1876 centennial. Still works nicely.
