CPB HUDSON FULTON CELEBRATION #261 AND 267 BUTTONS FEATURING THE CLERMONT STEAMSHIP.
Both are 1.25". Produced in 1909 for the 300th Anniversary of the discovery of the Hudson River. The ship pictured is often identified as the 'Clermont' but is also known as 'The North River Steamboat' considered to be the first successful commercial steamship in the world. First features the ship at full mast with portrait of ship designer Robert Fulton on the main sail. Edge staining around most of perimeter and 1/4" cello. split from 12 to 2 o'clock. Also reverse shows separation at collet from 9 to 12 o'clock. Good. Second with Ann Street Badge & Novelty Co. on curl and additional text "Up The Hudson 1807". Glossy cello. and strikingly vivid colors. NM displaying Mint.
