LORILLARD TOBACCO CARRYING TIN.
8x9-1/2x7" deep litho tin container w/swivel carrying handle. Lid and the four side panels are finished in litho pattern resembling woven wicker in dark tan hue accented by black. Hinged lid depicts enlarged image of tobacco pack originally held in some quantity in the tin. Pictured is pack of "Lorillard's Stripped Smoking" tobacco for smoking or chewing. Perimeter around the lid has lost most of original flashing finish at both of the handles. Interior is also silver flashing finish showing considerable but typical aging. Exterior has one dented corner, scattered paint scuffs or streaks although finish overall is still better than 95%. Tin was likely designed as a lunch box or picnic case after disposal of contents.
