Item Description
2-7/8x7.25" tall. Similar to HC-8 and HC-37 in the Sullivan/Fischer book. Vertical patterns embossed in the silk at left and right complement a design featuring horses, an eagle and lady liberty. At center is a profile bust of Clay flanked by American flags. Overall light brown toning of the silk and two faint horizontal folds. The top and bottom have signs of stitching likely from use in a quilt. A few trivial pulls only noticeable when backlit and one tiny hole at top right less than 1/8" and not affecting design. This ribbon retains a splendid presence. Fine. Julie Powell Collection.
