4.25x4.5x3.25" tall painted wood base has 7.75" tall painted composition figure of Pinocchio w/separate head. Head has a hole at top as designed to insert carousel rod into inner wind-up mechanism. Painted tin carousel top measures 8.5" dia. and features five painted cast metal seats attached w/two thin chains. Seats features two-dimensional cast fronts, each depicting Disney characters including - Dumbo, Bambi, Mickey Mouse and two of Donald Duck. Comes w/original key and works when wound. Made in Paris, France by Les Jouets Creation, 1940s. Base features applied paper labels on left/right and front sides, featuring Panchito, Little Red Riding Hood and Fiddler Pig. Panchito and Pig labels shows obvious wear and are just Good. Red Riding Hood label is aged w/rippling and lt. wear. VG. Wooden base has some scattered edge wear and aging. Pinocchio figure has some scattered paint wear to face and scattered dust soiling. Carousel top shows moderate scattered wear w/aging/dust soiling and small paint flakes on inside of band. VG/Fine overall. Rare and first we've seen in our 48 years.
