Item Description
First is 1.25”. Although without its W&H back paper, it does have their July 21, 1896 patent date on the curl. Shows naked black boys in a wash tub with pair of American flags above. Slogans “The Best Flag/The Best Cleanser/You Can’t Beat Them!” Button is NM and displays Mint. Next are a pair of 7/8” each with W&H back paper, the first from 1896 and the second from 1898. First has three barely seen pinpoint dots on extreme left edge with all else displaying Mint. Three of the very earliest product advertising buttons to depict African-American images.
