Item Description
Buttons are in four different sizes between 7/8” and 1.75”. Smallest has 1896 W&H back paper and promotes “Dempster Mill Mfg. Co. Water Supplies.” This shows an overview of the factory. Light tan aging. An early rarity. Next from the same company with this one showing their windmill mechanism is 1.75”, no back paper. Next at 1.5” and with W&H paper is rare button from “Challenge Windmill & Feed Mill Company, Batavia, Ill.” Great design with yellow panel highlighting the product having text “Put In The Radiant Light Of Competition It Easily Maintains Its Superiority.” Right side edge has small tan spots but button retains full color and gloss. Last is 1.25” with St. Louis Button Co. paper. This shows the “Samson” windmill from the “Stover Mfg. Co.” Early 1900s and this is NM displaying Mint.
