Auction #215 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 987 in auction 215
Item Description
4x5.25". Cloth flower with silk ribbon attached reading "Victory 1915". Worn by suffrage activists in New York during that year's campaign for equal voting rights. Thin metal wire acts both as flower's stem and as means of affixing the piece to one's clothing. Minor soiling to petals of flower and small horizontal split in silk ribbon between the 'R' in 'Victory' and the '1' in '1915". VF. A fragile artifact, and rare survivor of the era.
