Item Description
The celluloid parts in this group are 1.25” to 1.75” and the ribbons range between 3” and 7”. Three of these items have initials “W.R.C.” standing for “Women’s Relief Corp.” while the other items refer to “Ladies Of The Grand Army Of The Republic.” One item does not reference women and that is the third in our photo. This is a “Delegate” badge for “43rd Annual Encampment/Department Of California And Nevada/Oakland , Cal. April 19-23, 1910.” Earliest item in the group at left of our photo is from 1904 and for W.R.C. event in Bellingham, Washington. Some gold off the ribbon and a few dots on each side of the double sided celluloid. Second is W.R.C. 1905 event badge from Marysville, Cal. Pictured is “Wilmon W. Blackman/Commander-In-Chief/G.A.R.” Dust soil at top left and lesser on the bottom of the ribbon. Next comes the “Delegate” already described and this is in NM condition. Remaining pieces all reference “Ladies.” Four of these pieces are from California, one from Nevada and one from Iowa. Dates on these span 1912 up to 1931. All are in beautiful condition.
