Item Description
Sizes are 7/8” up to a 5.5” ribbon. First is a rare “Official” badge for the “Allied Bazaar June 3-14, 1916.” This was event held at Grand Central Palace, New York for the relief of blinded, starving and homeless war victims in Belgium. Second is brass badge showing bi-wing plane and ship plus lumbering tools. At top is “LLLL” standing for Loyalty League of Lumberman and Loggers. Minor age. Next is hanger holding plain ribbon with hanger reading “United States Army Seattle 1917.” Next is 1918 “Labor Day” ribbon showing the design that also appears on a button “We’re Behind The Man Behind The Gun.” Numerous vertical splits .25” to .5” but not coming apart. Next is pocket mirror showing Pershing, Haig and Joffre. Mirror side is dark and cello side has general wear in reflected light. Remaining items are buttons picturing generals or other military men. In the 7/8” size these are from a group of 22 different known. About one third of these have some age marks but all buttons retain full gloss and display well. A nice collection.
