Item Description
2.5x3.5". BGS grades are: centering 9.5, edges 9.5, corners 9.5 and surface 10 with an overall grade of 9.5 Gem Mint. Although many collectors consider the 1986-87 Fleer Jordan to be his rookie card, there were actually two base set Michael Jordan cards that were produced earlier. The true Michael Jordan rookie card hails from the 1984-85 Star Company basketball set and is card #101 while the offered example represents the second card ever issued picturing Jordan in a base card set. The Star Company only produced 4,000 of each, the 1984-85 issue as well as the 1985-86 issue, so both of these are much rarer than the Fleer issue. This is your opportunity to own an earlier card of Jordan than his Fleer "Rookie" issue at a fraction of what a BGS 9.5 of that card would sell for.
